Our BFLV Wing It Bag Kits are created around our printed panels and seamless designs, making each bag stylish and effortlessly assembled. Each kit includes a printed BFLV Wing It pattern for both the exterior and interior, complete with zipper overlays, slip pocket trims, and extra material for optional strap tabs. You’ll also receive high-quality real bamboo handles and zipper pulls, strap connectors and gate rings—giving your bag a modern, upmarket look. While each kit comes with handles, feel free to bring your own strap to add a personal touch.

To ensure durability and structure, we’ve included foam support for all styles, plus vinyl corners for the faux leather tote. You will have access to a detailed tutorial guiding you every step of the way.

Bag Styles and Panel Options

The BFLV Wing It Bag Kit comes in three stylish tote variations, each available in two design options.

Sewing Faux Leather

• Industrial Machine: Use a size 16/100 or 18/110 leather needle—no higher than 18.
• Domestic Machine: A size 90/14 or 100/16 jean needle works best.
• Presser Foot Matters: A Teflon foot or walking foot helps the fabric glide smoothly.
• Clip, Don’t Pin: Faux leather doesn’t recover from pinholes, so use binder clips or fabric clips instead.
• Adjust Stitch Length: Use a longer stitch (3.5–4mm) to prevent perforations.
• No Direct Ironing: If you need to flatten seams, use a pressing cloth or finger press.

Sewing Waterproof Canvas (WPC)

• Industrial Machine: A size 14/90 or 16/100 needle is best for WPC.
• Domestic Machine: Use a size 80/12 or 90/14 universal needle.
• Don’t Iron Too Hot: WPC can melt, so use a low heat setting with a pressing cloth.
• Longer Stitches: A 3mm–4mm stitch length helps keep waterproof integrity.
• Clip Edges Instead of Pinning: Pins can leave visible holes.
• Backstitch Carefully: Prevent fabric puckering by gently locking your stitches.

Sewing Poly Canvas

• Industrial Machine: A size 14/90 or 16/100 needle works well.
• Domestic Machine: A size 80/12 or 90/14 universal needle does the trick.
• Iron With Caution: Use low to medium heat and avoid excessive pressure.
• Standard Presser Foot Works: Unlike faux leather, poly canvas feeds easily.
• Pin or Clip: Poly canvas handles pins better than WPC or faux leather.
• Seam Finishes: Consider zig-zag stitching to prevent fraying.

Maintenance Tips

1. Use a damp cloth to gently wipe down, avoiding scrubbing to prevent potential damage to the print.
2. Use mild cleaning solutions and NO harsh chemicals to preserve the material’s quality and finish.
3. Avoid soaking, bleaching, sweat, lotions, perfumes or wringing, as these can compromise its integrity.
4. Refrain from dry cleaning or ironing fabric items, as these methods are unsuitable and may cause damage.
5. Remember, gentle care is key to keeping your fabric items looking great for the long haul!

PLEASE BE AWARE – Australia Post imposes a maximum length restriction of 105cm2 inclusive of packaging. This means all orders over approximately one metre must be cut down. For example, if you order two metres it will be cut into two x one metre pieces. All overseas orders of faux leather or vinyl will be sent as a maximum cut of 50cm rolls. If you wish to customise the continuous length of material, please contact us to discuss additional courier charges.

We take great care to present our products as accurately as possible. However, please note that variations in colour may occur due to differences in camera resolution, screen brightness, devices and IT configuration. Rest assured, these discrepancies are minimal, and we strive to provide the most true-to-life representation possible. This is not an acceptable reason for refund or return.
